Three Women

How it all began....

As of 2020, the Pennsylvania State University is home to 18,881 female undergraduate students, 2,944 female graduate students, 11,054 female faculty members, and 8,013 female administration and staff members (data inclusive of trans-women and non-binary individuals is not yet available). However, resources for women can be difficult to access and there is a general need for open discussions aimed at university-wide empowerment.

The 15th Assembly of the University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) formalized this mission through Resolution #13-15: Establishment of the Women's Empowerment Roundtable.

Through informative discussions on topics such as period poverty, the representation of women in the workforce, diversity in leadership, female entrepreneurship, and more, the Women's Empowerment Roundtable strives to be a revolutionary step towards equity at Penn State and beyond.
